nVidia GeForce 9400 GT 512 MB

In these days of very higher technology of Graphic cards, most of the people think that nVidia GeForce 9400 GT 512MB is not actually a gaming card. However, in my opinion, they are considerably wrong!

This graphic card has become much more older. But, I’d still say that it provides much more than it’s current price. I have plugged this one in a Core2 Duo 2.2 GHz (3 MB Cache) Desktop and no joking, this system (with the graphic card) proved to be better than my Dell Latitude e6410 Laptop (Core i5 3.2 GHz) in gaming. I have played Blur, GTA – San Andreas and PCSX2 (Dragonball Z: Infinite World) on this graphic card. Honestly, both of the games rocked on this Graphic Card with just a common Core2 Duo system.

          -Installing Driver:

Installing driver is surely must at this one. Without the driver, it won’t work at the full strength. If you want to install the driver, simply download it here:

          http://uk.download.nvidia.com/Windows/340.52/340.52-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-32bit-international-whql.exe

It works with 32-bit Windows Vista, 7 and 8. However, if you want 64-bit Windows version, you may get it here:

          http://uk.download.nvidia.com/Windows/340.52/340.52-desktop-win8-win7-winvista-64bit-international-whql.exe

-Placing the Graphic Card in your Desktop PC:

Placing this one is just as normal as all. You need to screw off the metallic bar (which is found at the front of graphic card) and then place it as usual to your PCI-Express x16 port.

          -Conclusion:

At the end of this post, I’d say that this cheaply priced graphic card is a perfect choice for Desktop Computers to play most games of years up-to 2012 with medium-high quality graphics. However, there is one thing which should be noticed. Whenever it reaches 100% performance (with fan running at 100% speed), it gets over 80 degrees of temperature which is quite too much. But as a whole, it’s perfect for it’s price.

Now that’s the review with which I surely agree. It’s an old but good Graphics card. 😉

I’d say it depends on your computer configuration as well. If it’s a good Core2 Duo (higher end), it will work just fine along with this graphics card.
